Experiencing the country the way you want to experience it is the goal of our tailor-made trips. Every traveler is different and the trips we organize are diverse and focused on experiencing Indonesia. Our tailor-made trips also offer a choice between nostalgic trips; in a relatively short time along the highlights of an island and local trips with the emphasis on experiencing contemporary Indonesian life.
TAILOR-MADE TRIP
Preparation and cooperation are important if you are going on a long-distance trip in which you have specific travel wishes. After our first contact in which you indicate your travel wishes, we will email you a travel schedule including a quote. Whichever island of the archipelago you want to go to, this first itinerary is the beginning of our collaboration. We strive to put together a trip that is tailored as completely as possible to your travel wishes. We are located in the country you are going to and provide tips and advice that suit the local situation.
This is how we work!
During a tailor-made trip, the contact moments are often intensive. Together we put together the trip you would like to take. After an initial contact in which you indicate which island you want to go to, with how many people, in what period and what type of trip you want to make (nature, culture, very active or preferably more beach) we get to work and translate these wishes into a (first) itinerary.
Intention to book. We often call an initial itinerary a talking piece. It’s a first draft. Based on the given travel wishes, we create an initial itinerary (V1) including a suitable quotation. You provide feedback on this and we then email you an amended proposal and you then provide comments (or perhaps it is already completely satisfactory). Once you are satisfied with the proposed itinerary and the arrival and departure dates are known, we will check room availability. We then email a final itinerary with a suitable quote.
Boeken (booking) Zodra aankomst- en verterkdatum bekend zijn maken wij een final reisschema en na akkoord op dat final voorstel, een zogenoemde ‘firm booking’ beginnen we jullie reis definitief in te plannen. Kamers worden definitief bevestigd,we plannen chauffeur en auto in en leggen excursies vast.
Booking immediately as the arrival and departure dates are known, we make a final itinerary and after approval of that final proposal, a so-called ‘firm booking’, we start to definitively plan your trip. Rooms are finally confirmed, we schedule the driver and car and arrange excursions.
Room not available: the desired room is not available, we will immediately offer an alternative. If possible within the same price range. The alternative offered is often blocked (always an option in high season). You will receive a customized quote and we will then discuss/email it with you. Only after your approval will a final schedule be made and after approval we will definitively plan your trip. When you have received a booking confirmation and an invoice, the trip has been confirmed and booked.
Communication between booking and trip. Sometimes there is a long time between a confirmed booking and the first payment date. A time when questions can always be asked, but intensive contact is not necessary. As soon as your trip is about to start, contact will become more intensive again.
Receipt of payment. When we have received full payment (see our payment conditions), you will receive vouchers (if desired and necessary), telephone number of your first driver and a detailed travel plan. This contains important information such as departure times of trains or pick-up times on certain days.
During the trip. During your trip we always keep in touch with your driver or supervisors, but there are also times when we speak to you personally. If you have any questions, you can do so directly (we provide telephone numbers before the start of the trip in the ‘guest booking information’ document) or via your driver.
After the trip. At the end of the trip you will receive an email with an evaluation form.
